The challenge

The cross-border territories of the Mediterranean share an extraordinary cultural and creative wealth, but one that is often inadequately exploited as an economic lever. RICCO was created to transform this potential into a true engine of entrepreneurial development, urban regeneration and social cohesion, focusing on the intersection of culture, innovation and tourism.

The partnership

An articulated and prestigious consortium of 8 Italian and French public partners, including provinces, municipalities, chambers of commerce and innovation agencies. A complex machine, requiring high management skills and systemic vision to ensure coherence, effectiveness and impact.

The difficulties to be faced

With a budget close to 2 million euros and a multiplicity of actors involved, RICCO is a highly challenging project, both organizationally and strategically. Its implementation requires the ability to coordinate actions in five regions, harmonize different cultural approaches, and hold together local visions with common goals.

My role

As project manager of the lead partner, I have the crucial responsibility of holding the reins of the project firmly: from technical and financial coordination to partnership leadership, from strategic planning to output supervision. It is a challenge that brings to the table not only organizational skills, but also leadership, vision and diplomatic spirit.

The expected results

RICCO will create a shared Cross-Border Strategy, Creative Labs and Creative Hubs operating in the territories, vouchers for cultural and creative enterprises, and pilot actions for urban regeneration and creative tourism. All accompanied by festivals, manifestos and forums capable of stimulating dialogue and participation.

What we want to learn

We want to show that creativity is not only beauty, but also enterprise, identity and sustainability. That innovation, if rooted in territories and people, can transform cultural heritage into a concrete resource for the future. And that cooperation, if well guided, is the key to overcoming geographical, institutional and mental limitations.
